Zoola and Loola are the nicknames of Lidia and Zuzia Danielski, a Polish mother/daughter team that has plans for a fun destination store. The store will feature women's clothing - lines include Buffalo Jeans, Linda Lundstrom, Fresh Produce, CMC and Loose Cut, accessories - including jewellery (Lidia is a jewellery artist, scarves and hand bags, gifts - including soap, candles and glass, and art - particularly from young artists. Lidia promises clothing for everyone with sizes from extra small to XXX with an emphasis on fun, comfort and style. New festival, events, tourism and conference service KawarthaFest is a group of area stakeholders committed to building a reputation for the highest caliber festivals, events, conferences and tourism activities. One of the first projects is to provide training for front-line workers in customer service including closing and upselling, cash handling and counterfeit recognition, tourist information and wayfinding, even CPR and First Aid! Best of all, thanks to a Local Initiatives Grant from the Community Futures Development Corporation, the training is half price! New location for fabric/sewing business And J & B's Thread and Spool has moved to a new location at 1724 County Road 18 (that's the highway between Bridgenorth and Lakefield). Owner Janice LeGresley has opened up a brand new location in the lower level of her brand new house. It's bigger and brighter, all on one floor and Janice can go home for lunch!
