The Business Beat
by Stuart Harrison Welcome to The Business Beat. New Auto Recycling Business Steve Tripp and Melanie Hale are partners in Tripps Auto Recyclers, which is a new business at 2110 Burnham Line South. Tripps is a licensed auto wrecker; you can obtain parts from their inventory, through their parts locating service (which gives you access to 3000 other auto wreckers), or from their line of new after-market parts at shop price. Installation is available on all parts and they provide a 90 day warranty. Melanie handles used car sales, she's a registered dealer and specializes in theft recovery and vehicles that have been in accidents. They provide a warranty with every vehicle. If you want to check it out, just head east on Highway 7 past Rolands to Burnham Line, then go south one kilometre, or call 705-742-6444. New Restaurant in Bridgenorth There's a new restaurant in Bridgenorth, the Ward Street Grill, owned by Greg Floyd, and located at 857 Ward Street, just before the Village Plaza. Ward Street Grill features International and Home-Style comfort food, everything from Thai and Indian appetizers, to Malaysian satays, to Belgian waffles, Greek salads, and Italian. There's also lots of home baking from Greg's Mom, plus they have ice cream, milkshakes and cones. The restaurant sits 18, and there's a patio. The décor is old Bridgenorth with photographs and memorabilia. The Ward Street Grill is open 7 days a week, Monday - Thursday 11:30 - 8:00, Friday 11:00 - 9:00, Saturday and Sunday 8.30 - 8:00 (breakfast is served only on weekends). Call 705-292-8999 for more information. Frame Store Under New Ownership Jason Splitter has been framed! He's just purchased Frame It For You from Greg and Coleen MacMillan. Greg and Coleen have been in business for 29 years and Jason has wisely decided to stay with the same successful formula, which includes custom and gallery framing as well as prints and art cards. Jason has a background in retail; his parents Merv and Penny Splitter operated B & B Surplus downtown from 1979 - 1994. Dog lovers will be pleased to know that although Reilly, the Black and White Border Collie, will be retiring with Greg and Coleen, Jason will be introducing Cheyenne who Jason describes as a mixed happy dog. For more information just call Jason at 705-748-2951. New Home Catering Business
