Henkel family farm

Cuttle Cottage Lavender recently opened at the Henkel family farm. Owners Tracy and Arnie Henkel have done an extensive renovation of the barn to create a retail store carrying lavender bath and body products, jams jellies and herb mixtures, garden accents and planters. Cuttle Cottage Lavender is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., located at 295 Vernonville Road in Alnwick/Haldimand township. The Henkel Family farm is the site of the Shelter valley Folk Festival.

Scott Dummitt opens a retail store

Scott J. Dummitt Presents has been serving the hobby community around the world for the past twelve years on the internet, but recently opened a retail shop in Bailieboro. Scott specializes in Military Action figures and plastic and metal toy soldiers, including his own "Pride of the Nation" figures, and William Britain Ltd., Dragon Models Limited, Del Prado, Corgi, Forces of Valor and much more. His one of a kind shop is located at 1754, Suite B, Carmel Line, Bailieboro, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Monday.
