Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough hosts "7 Days of Green" in support of Earth Week (April 16 - 22)

The Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough (CFGP) is hosting “7 Days of Green” from April 16th to 22nd in the City and County of Peterborough.

The purpose of the 7 Days of Green initiative is to highlight and support local green activities during Earth Week while building awareness around green living and giving.

“At the Community Foundation, we believe that every green act matters,” says Andrea Dicks, CFGP’s Executive Director.

“7 Days of Green will shine a spotlight on the impressive activities happening throughout our community,” she explains, “while also inviting residents to take part with their families and friends.”

CFGP is a volunteer-driven charitable organization that fosters philanthropy, issues grants to registered charities to enhance quality of life, and provides community leadership on important issues.

The foundation supports all the communities in the region of Peterborough, including the City of Peterborough and the eight townships that comprise the County of Peterborough.

Various local organizations and businesses are partnering with CFGP for 7 Days of Green, including Brant Basics, Camp Kawartha, Canadian Canoe Museum, Charm Tree Toys, Downtown Business Improvement Area, Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies, GreenUP, Kawartha Heritage Conservancy, KRUZ FM, KawarthaNow, Kawartha World Issues Centre, Lansdowne Place Mall, Nourish Peterborough, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Otonabee Region Conservation Authority, Peterborough Community Garden Network, The Peterborough Examiner, Peterborough Museum and Archives, PTBOCanada, The Rotary Clubs of Peterborough, Trent University, and The Wolf.
