For children up to the age of five, More Blueberries! is about young twins who can’t get enough of their favorite snack. With playful rhyming text from award-winning poet Susan Musgrave and gorgeous illustrations by Millbrook artist Esperança Melo, this exuberant board book will delight little ones.

About the author

Author Susan Musgrave has been nominated for and has received awards in five different categories of writing — poetry, fiction, nonfiction, personal essays, and children’s writing — and for her work as an editor. Susan has published 27 books over the last four decades.

In 2014, Susan was the recipient of the Matt Cohen Award: In Celebration of a Writing Life. She lives on Haida Gwaii and teaches poetry in the Optional Residency MFA in Creative Writing Program at the University of British Columbia.

About the illustrator

Illustrator Esperança Melo was born in the Azores, and has made her home in the village of Millbrook, Ontario. She is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Animation Program and a Graphic Design honours graduate from George Brown College. Esperança works in various art forms and media, including sculpting in papier-mâché.

She has illustrated several children’s books, among them More Blueberries! and Love You More by author Susan Musgrave. With Bill Slavin, she co-illustrated the picture book Drumheller Dinosaur Dance by author Robert Heidbreder, which was the recipient of the 2005 Blue Spruce Award in Ontario and the 2006 Chocolate Lily Award in B.C.
